A recent talk show featured Jackie Macri, a music therapist at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Philadelphia.

Local Geneva Mason nominated for Willam D Barth Award

This year one of our own, Walter Bamert Jr, was nominated for the William D Barth Award. 

The award was created in 1985 to honor an individual who has made a lasting impact on the Kane County area through volunteer activities and community service and was given out by TriCity Family Services this year on October 23rd at Riverside Receptions.

Geneva Lodge #139 members join the Medinah Shrine

At the Legacy Day event on March 19th at the Medinah Shrine two Geneva Lodge members join the Shrine. Worshipful Master Brian Marra and Junior Warden Walter Bamert became Shriners that day. The day started with breakfast at the Shrine at 7:30am and ended around 1:30pm after a great lunch. Members present at this event included Brothers Grammer, Mickelsen, Ridder, Kozak, Jacobs and Urban.

Geneva Masonic Lodge Celebrate 160 years!

This past weekend Geneva Masonic Lodge celebrated 160 years of community involvement and fraternity. Founded in 1854, the Lodge has been a active in the founding and formation of Geneva itself. The lodge continues its community involvement with Blood drives, providing backpacks to underprivileged children, fund raisers, bell ringing for the Salvation Army and providing gifts for needy families and children at the holidays.
