Geneva Masonic Lodge #139 is a lodge of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. We are a nonprofit charitable organization and one of the world’s oldest and largest fraternal institutions. Throughout history, Freemasonry has been dedicated to service, personal growth, education, and the betterment of humanity.

In keeping with this rich Masonic tradition, we are pleased to announce the opening of the application period for the William Burton Wood and David M. Wheeler Memorial Scholarship for the 2025–2026 academic year.

This scholarship is awarded annually to support local students pursuing a post–high school degree in an accredited program. Award amounts have historically been approximately $1,000, though the Geneva Masonic Lodge reserves the right to adjust the amount at any time.

The criteria for granting scholarship awards are based on the following:

  • Reside in Geneva or St. Charles, Illinois, or be an immediate family member of a member of Geneva Lodge #139.
  • Be a high school senior in good standing or entering their freshman year of higher education (exceptions may be considered for military service).
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Demonstrate participation in extracurricular activities (school, community, or other).
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 4.0/5.0.
  • Submit a typed application; handwritten applications will not be reviewed.
